How does this check work?
Map lookup
The tool asks Google Places for the businesses it finds for your trade in your city, with their ratings and review counts.
AI answer
It asks one AI model who it would recommend for the same question, and records the business names.
Comparison
It lines the two lists up, marks the businesses that appear in both, and shows where your business sits.
What can this check tell you, and what can it not?
- It shows a snapshot, not a ranking history. Results can change between searches.
- The map list comes from Google Places search for the same words. It is close to the map pack, but it does not use your location, so the order can differ from what a customer sees.
- The AI list is one model on one day. It can name a business that does not exist or miss one that does, so treat it as a signal, not a fact.
- It does not replace an audit. It shows where to look first.

Does it cost anything?
No. The check is free, and I do not ask for your name or email to run it.
What do you do with what I type?
The trade, city and business name are sent to Google to get the results. Results are kept for 24 hours by trade and city, so repeat searches are quick. Your connection address is used for a short time to limit how often one person can run it.
Why does the AI list differ from the map list?
They use different information. The map leans on your profile, reviews and distance. An AI model leans on what it has read about businesses. Being named in both takes a strong profile and clear pages.
